Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense has released its latest Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), outlining a strategic shift toward “multi-domain access denial” and emphasizing the development of indigenous defense capabilities. The review comes as Taiwan faces increasing military pressure from China’s grey-zone activities and highlights new investments in space, electromagnetic warfare and anti-drone technologies.

Tron Future Tech, a Taiwanese company involved in both anti-drone and space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) technologies, has been active in developing capabilities relevant to the priorities outlined in the QDR.

Tron Future Tech recently showcased its latest advancements at a seminar in Taiwan’s parliament, organized by legislator Kuan-Ting Chen. The event, titled “Transparent Deterrence: Defense Applications of LEO Satellites and Drone Technology,” brought together lawmakers and representatives from both the Taiwanese and U.S. defense industries.

During the seminar, Tron Future Tech’s founder and CEO, Yu-Jiu Wang, introduced the company’s anti-drone Command and Control (C2) software, T. Meta, along with its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite payload. T. Meta is designed to enhance tracking, threat analytics and automated threat engagement while incorporating a whitelisting feature to safeguard authorized drones. The company is also advancing AI-based image analysis for SAR and Electro-Optical/Infrared satellite imagery, aiming to strengthen Taiwan’s situational awareness.
